Service agreements and customer responsibilities

By engaging R. B. Plumbing & Carpentry ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") for services or using our website, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
R. B. Plumbing & Carpentry provides professional plumbing and carpentry services including but not limited to:
We provide free written estimates for most services. Emergency services may include a diagnostic fee that is applied toward repair costs if you proceed with service.
We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Payment plans may be available for larger projects.
Past due accounts may be subject to late fees and collection actions. Customer is responsible for all collection costs and attorney fees.
We warrant our workmanship for one (1) year from completion date. This warranty covers defects in our labor but does not cover:
Parts and materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. We will assist with warranty claims but are not responsible for manufacturer defects.
Customer is responsible for obtaining necessary permits unless otherwise agreed in writing. All work will be performed to current local codes.
Customer must ensure utilities (water, electricity, gas) are available and accessible for our work.
Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided. We are not liable for:
Emergency services are provided on a best-effort basis. Response times may vary based on weather, traffic, and demand. Emergency service calls are prioritized but not guaranteed within specific timeframes.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse service for safety concerns, non-payment, or customer behavior that endangers our staff.
We maintain appropriate insurance coverage and follow safety protocols. Customers should:
All custom designs, plans, and proprietary methods remain our intellectual property. Customers receive a license to use designs for their specific project only.
Customer information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication.
If informal resolution fails, disputes may be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action.
These terms are governed by Kansas state law. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in Kansas courts.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
